This is a brand new 2013 Nidek Microperimeter MP1 System & Desk in the orginal manufacturer's boxes. Purchased and never used. I did unpack it to ensure it is all here. It is complete and ready to use with the MP1, Computer, Software, Power Supply, Monitor, connecting cables, manuals, Luminance Sensor and all other original documents and accessories. Also comes with a new power table (I assembled it for the first time). I was easily able to assemble and power up the system to test function. According to the device log no tests have ever been conducted with this system other than the original factory function testing in 2013. I will pack back in the original boxes and ship freight. Description
This is a 2013 New Old Stock system in the original boxes. Facility purchased and never used. I assembled for the first time to ensure it works and to take these listing pictures. It is all here to include the MP1, Computer, NAVIS Software & Disks, Luminance Sensor, Power converter, Monitor, Keyboard/Mouse, Cables, Vinyl Cover, User Manuals and all other original accessories. Also includes a brand new electric power table I assembled for the first time. All cables are labeled for error free connecting. I was easily able to power it on and navigate the NAVIS software on the XP Pro system. No passwords have ever been set up and full administrative access is granted. I was able to test the MPI and the camera image is projecting on the monitor without error codes. It looks like the NAVIS (Nidek Advanced Vision Information Systems) software can operate numerous other pieces of Ophthalmic equipment (see pic). The original documents include software system keys, quick reference guides and original inspection results. I plan to leave this system set up until it sells then it will be shipping on a pallet in the original boxes.

The purpose of perimetry and microperimetry exams is the generation of a sensitivity map of the examined retina, obtained by measuing the patient's ability or inability to perceive light stimuli of different intensities projected at different locations of the retina.
In conventional perimetry the stimulated fundus areas are identified by their geometric postion with respect to the patient fixation area. This kind of exam does not allow to correlate the sensitivity map with the morphological evidence associated with the fundus image of the patient.
Due to the eye movements during the exam it is not possible to know the actual positions where the stimuli are projected during the exam.
Microperimetry is an innovative diagnostic techniqu that was developed to overcome such limitations of the traditional technique. The sensitivity map is generated by observing a live picture of the examined retina and allows therefore to refer stimuli location to precise anatomical references.
Miroperimetry is then correlated with the fundus of the patient (reason for which it is also called fundus related perimetry)
Microperimetry is, at the moment, the only examination that allows putting into correlation, in an objective way, the morphological aspects of the retina, as observable by using an ophthalmoscope, with the corresponding functional aspects. Such information has been demonstrated to be extremely useful in clinical practice for diagnostic purposes.
The main examinations that can be performed with MP1 are the following:
Fixation exam:
allows determining the site of fixation and evaluate its stability in time
Microperimetry:
allows performing perimetry exams by projecting a stable fixation target and a sequence of "Goldmann" type stimuli. Patient answers at each stimulus (seen/not seen) are recorded and all stimuli are displayed on the same, fixed, retinal picture, acquired at the beginning of the exam.
Color Retinography:
allows acquiring fundus images at 45 degrees without use of mydriatic agents.
Condition & Testing
This is a New Old Stock system that was facility purchased in 2013 and never assembled or used. I took it out of the boxes and put it together for the first time to ensure it works and to take the listing pictures. Some of the boxes show shelf wear but the components are perfect without any sign of use. I was easily able to put the power table together and assemble the system using the included cables. Everything powers up fine without error codes. I am able to navigate the XP Pro system and NAVIS software without issue. I was able to test the camera and it is projecting an image on the screen. I entered the use log and the only recorded tests conducted with this machine are the original factory inspection tests. I did add my name as a "new patient" so my name is now on the log. (see pic) The default adminstrative passwords work and no other passwords have been set up. All original coded cables are included as well as all user manuals, software keys, software disks, original inspection documents, extra lamp, fuses and other accessories. The luminance sensor looks like it had never been taken out of the box before. This system is perfect in every way!!
