Note:
While this solvent removes some stains in seconds, for other stains allow the solution to penetrate a few minutes or to repeat the treatment.
If a stain becomes brighter, it generally can be removed completely. After the stain is removed, rinse the material out thoroughly. Sensitive fabrics,
such
as velvet, silk, leather etc., and textiles, which cannot be rinsed out (jackets, suites, etc.), should be treated with distilled water only, since
lime deposits found in some tap water can cause stains.

That is why solid colored textiles like
coats, carpets, upholstery, curtains
, etc., must be tested for color fastness on a hidden area (hem, inner seam,
patches, and so on). Please ensure that the test area is chosen, so that the outer part of the fabric does not become wet.
Apply
It Works
onto a cloth dampened with hot water, carefully pat onto test area. Let it stand for five minutes, rinse with water, and then blot dry.
If there is no color change it is safe to continue with the stain removal. Linings should be removed before the treatment, since these are rarely
colorfast.
Already washed stains
Stains that have already been washed can only be removed at the same temperature they were already treated.
When washed at 90
o
, ironed, or after chemical treatment at the cleaners, stains can be removed in the following way:
Moisten stain, apply

, and gently rub into the stain. Instead of water, use steam (either from your steam iron or water kettle).
Steam the stained area until the stain is resolved.
Since some textiles are not colorfast when steam is applied, test fabric for color fastness before treatment.
Note:
Old stains are harder to remove than new stains. The treatment can be repeated several times without harming the fabric.
Carpets and Upholstery

Clean large areas such as

with a solution of 10 cm or 3.9 inch

and ½ liter or 16.9 liquid oz of hot water and a brush (scrubber) or sponge.
Then dry with an old terry cloth, so that the loose dirt will be removed.
For intense stained or soiled rugs, apply some

directly onto a moist sponge and gently rub onto the soiled areas.
For stains caused by
solid substances, like tar, feces, resin, shoe polish etc
.,
scrape the loose dirt from the area with a spoon after the wet cleaning procedure.
Blood
should only be cleaned with cold water

is best removed as follows. Use lemon juice instead of water for moistening the stain. After the cleaning procedure with

the tube in addition to your soap detergent.
Note:
do not put the paste into the detergent compartment. Either apply

etc., apply

without water, and pat or rub with a sponge or cloth. Then continue treatment with water, and blot the area dry with a cloth.  This way you can
also remove  stubborn dirt and stains such as tar, pollen, fly specks, moss stains, and other difficult to clean stains.
Cleaning Leather:
A colorfast test is necessary for all leathers.
For cleaning or removing stains, dissolve
It Works
in warm distilled water.
Tap water contains lime, and destroys the leather fibers.

does not dry out; it can be stored for years provided the tube is securely closed after each use. It Works is a chemical agent and must
be stored away from children.
Caution: The paste should not be accessible to children.

I used this on a pair of white cotton slacks that had 2-year old rust stains from my washer. I got a great deal on a pair of slacks and was so mad when I left them in my washer overnight, and then discovered they were covered in rust stains. I tried everything to get the rust out, even plenty of bleach in my wash. Nothing worked. I held on to the pants because I loved them and hoped someday something would get the rust out. So, when I heard this product removed carpet stains and rust, etc. I thought sure it does - I'll prove it doesn't work. I ordered it and when it came I pulled out the white slacks and went to work. I followed the instructions and activiated with lemon juice for rust and I'll be darned if it didn't get every last rust spot out of those pants!! I was absolutely shocked!! Yes, it smells awful but I am so happy to have my slacks back that I don't care. I washed the slacks after removing the stains and there is no lingering odor. I lent it to my sister who got a washed-in mustard stain out of her husband's shirt (compliments of the summer baseball season).

I bought this product to take out a stain in a Marc Bower top. The top had a dye stain from another top I washed with it. It Really Worked! Yes it smells, like perm solution. At first it does make the stain larger, then after scrubbing some more it removes it. YEAH!! Just that one job was worth the purchase.

I read a lot of the reviews about this product not working, and I haven't tried it on clothing. But, what I will say is that this does indeed work on carpets. I just came home to buffalo wing sauce (dog got into the garbage!) all over my living room carpet and a white throw rug under the coffee table. I was mortified, but remembered I had this tube of It Works. I diluted some of the paste in a cup or so of water and used a little nylon bristle brush. It completely removed all of the stains on both types of carpet and I hardly had to scrub. Try this on new and old carpet stains, it has taken out black grease from my husbands shoes too.

I bought this when it came out because I have several stains on things and thought it was just another product that would not work boy was I shock and amazed it took the stain right out you got to rub a little bit that all. all I know is this product sure does work for me.I have used this on several stains through out my house even my husband overalls with grease and it takes it out.
